which is easier to fly home from JFK or Newark to LHR?
What is easier to fly home from, Newark or JFK? we will be staying in NY, but wondered what the easiest airport would be, the flights are in the evening, think about 8ish from JFK and 9pm from Newark.
What would be the cheaper option in a cab? Many thanks, Edited at 03:20 PM. |

I've flown into and out of both a few times. JFK used to be a cheaper can ride but I'm not sure if that's still the case. I would personally go with the time that suited you best.

I'd go with Newark, especially as it's the later flight We've always had a better experience there than JFK - I know you can get delays from anywhere, but JFK is so busy, that the delays have always seemed longer there. Newark just seems more relaxed for us.
Newark would be marginally more expensive by cab though.

We flew into JFK and got the Airtrain and LIRR to Manhattan but flew out of Newark and used the New Jersey Transit so no knowledge of taxi fares. I found the journey to Newark was quicker and slightly easier, maybe only for the fact that we weren't tired like when we landed at JFK and had got our bearings and were more confident by the time we needed to get to Newark.
We were flying to Orlando with United and I found the whole thing to be disorganised and chaotic. Maybe it was because it was a Monday morning and a load of flights go from the terminal we were at, but I think I would avoid Newark in the future where possible. The staff were very surly and unhelpful and getting through security was an incredibly slow experience, on par with some of our MCO experiences. However, in saying all that, price and flight times are my priorities so if the best option was Newark I would go there. |
