2019 Disney direct prices same or cheaper than 2018?

Standard rooms at POFQ have finally been released for my dates in August and I just thought I'd compare the price for 2019 as opposed to 2018.

Last year just after free dining was released for 2018 a standard room at POFQ and tickets and the QSDP was £4,958 for the last 2 weeks in August. This price dropped down to £4,622 a couple of weeks later and remained the same whilst the free dining offer was on.

This year the price for the same two weeks in August with the same extras is exactly the same £4,622.

When free dining was released I thought everyone was complaining how much higher the prices were for 2019 than they were expecting. Has anyone else noticed this?

we've paid £4445 for 13 nights POR, 5x tickets & free QSDP this year, priced up same dates for next year and its £4562 with $200 gift card (we booked 3 Nov 2017 so no gift card) so not much in it.

The people complaining were comparing based on the previous offer which was discount when booking hotel and tickets together. That offer finished so the overall price increased and then free Dining was launched.

Prices have increased for us. Almost £600 at AKL but it will be 3 years since we were there so expected

When Disney released 2019 prices initially they were much lower than expected for some reason. Once free dining was released they went up to the “real” 2019 prices so a significant rise.

Can't comment on our booking as WL didn't get released but DS' POR booking jumped up just under £300, 2 weeks Sept, enough for them to downgrade to a standard room.
