Just back - an Inside Out overview!

So we arrived back on Monday morning from 2 weeks staying at POFQ and only doing Disney Parks. Here is an overview of our break before I start on the trip report, through the emotions of Inside Out.

Joy
POFQ - as ever, a quiet and beautiful resort to stay in.
Meeting other dibbers - we had an amazing time meeting other dibbers and their families - BigShaz, OnOurWay, WarbiesPig, MagicKate and Leyfy. Feel we have made some great friends!
Illuminations Cruise - really enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of trying to find a spot.
Happily Ever After - Wow! This really stepped it up from Wishes.
QSDP - it works for us, there was a better choice of lighter options this time too, e.g. salads.
Pandora - the attention to detail and rides were both impressive.
Seats in the bubble - much quieter up here, and first off the plane
Memory Maker - there are some cracking photos this year!
Meeting Tim Tracker - he was sooooo lovely! Dave spotted him at POFQ.

Sadness
Going home - as ever leaving the happiest place on Earth isn't easy to do.
Exhausted/crying children - I know there will be children at Disney who will be tired, upset etc - but please plan in breaks for them! So many kids cried through shows etc and were clearly just on their last legs.

Fear
Bad weather - especially with Hurricane Harvey happening, we were very conscious of the possible impact that bad weather could have. Thankfully it only changed our plans once, when we called it quits and came back from AK. My shoes were so wet that water was squelching out when I walked (bit embarrassing down a near silent FOP line!)
TOT - this has never really bothered me before but I felt apprehensive this time. Dave will not ride this so I had to hold hands with the girl next to me

Disgust
Toilet cleanliness - genuinely mortified by this at times. I don't understanding how people can make such a mess. I dread to think what their toilets at home must look like.

Anger
Strollers/Scooters used as battering rams - I totally understand why these are such a necessity, but they do not need to be used to mow down other guests or push to the front of queues.
Queue jumpers - this has been far and away the worst we have ever noticed it. This seemed to happen in one of two ways. Either one person would queue and then the rest of their party would join them (another 13 people on one occasion!) or one person in the party would have a FP+ and the rest wouldn't. Both of these happened multiple times during our holiday, and cast members just let it go. I understand that they want to avoid confrontation (and that there are various trade union talks going on at the moment, especially in light of videos of cast member/guest interactions on social media) but it just isn't fair on everyone who plays by the rules. Whenever people 'apologised' for queue jumping, my best retort was 'Don't worry - we are British and we know exactly how a queue works!'

DS is so jealous, we watch Tim's vlogs every day it's great to know that he is as nice in person.
