Day out - Newport/Cardiff area

I forgot DSis inlaw birthday last year. Need to make it up this year.

Was thinking about a day out voucher as she has a good job/money so doesn't need anything.

They live Newport in Gwent.

Looking for a thing to do - maybe vineyard/wine tasting/ cocktail making/brewery or similar. She's not into spa or afternoon tea.

Any recommendations? Did a Ghost tour in the city center a while ago combined with wine/cheese which she enjoyed.

Hensol Castle do a gin tour and make your own bottle. I can definitely recommend that one 😁

Thanks both. I'd seen the Tiny Rebel one on like.

Will have another look at both.

Second llanerch vineyard- also tiny rebel in rogerstone. A friend recommend the hensol gin making. Celtic Manor - dinner at steak on six- we like it there.

There is a lovely deli in penarth (if they don't mind a trip out- easy reached by train ) called griffs deli- they do lovely cheese and wine platters and are open into evenings on a weekend, that's lovely, round the corner from that is Gin64 and you also have the custom house which has lots of events coming up - bottomless brunch - or Courts also in Penarth.
