Paying dues
We normally pay our dues mid January however with the improvement in the exchange rate I was wondering if any members are considering paying quite soon .I suppose what I am asking if anyone has a crystal ball in determining in the next couple of months when the exchange rate could/should be at its highest.

The foreign exchange markets like certainty.
Nobody knows how things will fare but in my view we will see a slight rise on the date we exit the EU. But I may be way off the mark!

I pay mine every month in advance, so it hedges the exchange rate. Quite a few on here now do that. Also means it’s nearly all paid off by the time the bill drops.
I think it may remain pretty static for a while now, but I’m guessing. There’s little point trying to ‘beat’ the market- if I could, I’d be working as a currency speculator. I did it once, as the first results came through on the EU referendum, I bought my money at Sainsbury before they shut it down.

I've already paid off the majority but will be paying the rest when the statement appears online tomorrow. I think I've only got $150 to psy though so not risking very much paying early.

I wouldn't hold your breath much. Even if it does rise I think it will only be by a cent or two. Of course it could drop!
I pay Monthly now (overpaying) so have limited my exposure to the currency fluctuations somewhat

I don't expect any wild swings through 2020. The only fly in the ointment is Boris J putting out there he is ready to hard Brexit end of 2020. That creates wobbles.
