Just been reading about the upcoming Hurricane Season. Due to a weak or non existent El Ninio more Hurricanes are forecasted.

Not that there is anything to worry about in that. You could have a small season and 4 out of 6 storms make landfall or a big season and 2 of 17 storms make landfall. And that's across the entire Atlantic/Caribbean basin

usual forecasts, some say one thing, others say something else. I go by the only reliable forecast, look up. If its dark and you get wet, its probably raining, or your still in the shower.
May times we have returned home after our holiday and someone says were we affected by the storms, and we reply, what storms. They just don't realise how big Florida is.

We managed through Hurricane Matthew last year so it wont worry us too much this trip.

Hurricane season runs June 1st to November 30th
I am so happy this year is the first year for many that I have not owned a home in th Caribbean so I refuse to worry about hurricanes. I have lived through a few, house 100 ft above the sea, it gets windy and this year for the first year of many I have not had to pay £5000 yearly hurricane insurance. If there is hurricane while we are in Florida then someone else will have to pay for the repairs! Clearly I don't wish that on anyone! Happy days. |
