Hi guys just after a little help. Have time off work last week of July first week Aug. Was going to book an all inclusive somewhere for me, hubby and 2 kids but nothing is taking our fancy. Do you think we would be able to get cheap flights or a cheap holiday to go to Florida? Any info on where I would start looking. Thank you ❤️😀😀😀

Depends on your definition of cheap. I have been looking for the same kind of dates and haven't been able to find anything less than £700 each flight only. I don't tend to book package holidays as we have timeshare accommodation.

We are in the same boat as you, I phoned Holiday Genie, the best they could offer was Flight (LHR-IAH-MCO and then MCO-IAD-LHR) with United so we might be fighting for a seat :-) full size car and 15 nights at Radisson on the 192 near Celebration for 4 ads £3525, its a lot more than I want to pay as park tickets would need to go on top.

I know we can't find anything less than that either... How do people get bargains lol... School holidays I'm guessing is the downfall. 😢😢😢

Yeah I was hoping for less but it's school Holidays so I knew I'd be asking a lot.

The second half of the school holidays are cheaper from about mid August onwards. Other tricks would be to look for alternative airports rather than MCO.

its your dates which will be keeping the prices high - slap bang in the middle of the UK school holidays (all of them).

When I was tracking packages versus DIY for last year for us for Crete, the package prices reached their lowest price at 6 weeks prior to travel, then the prices went up again, and stayed up right up to departure date (when availability went down). So I'd keep an eye out (and widen your range of destinations etc) for the next couple of weeks, see if you can find something within your budget that you like the look of.
