Are Dessert Parties available this summer?

Looking at options for dessert parties for one evening this August and I went to have a look at availibility

As far as I can see none of the parties are bookable after May

I’m not talking about booked out. I mean on the Disney site every date after May for all the dessert parties is greyed out

Am I right here, and does anybody know if this is ‘normal’?

We didn't book any last year, but I'm sure when I have booked them before, they are only available to book approx 3-4 months in advance, so that may be why.

We booked them the day before onsite so they don't all sell out all the time, this was in October 2016.

If it's the SW one in particular, the HS schedule from May onwards is still patchy for several events including the party. My theory is that they're holding off confirming times until they have an exact opening date for TSL. Once that is announced, I'd expect everything to slot into place and be bookable again.

When we did the Star Wars dessert party in oct 2016- dates weren't made available until until about 3 months before- think this is the norm. We are waiting on booking the ahead dessert party in Aigust as well
