Star Wars Resort at Walt Disney World Promises to be 'Unlike Anything That Exists Today'

I can't wait until they release pricing for it, pretty sure it'll be way out of our budget

I’m new to all things Disney but I know my sons like anything Star Wars. Will you only be able to experience this by staying at the hotel? When is it predicted to open? We are going May 2019

Yes the new hotel experience will be for paying guests only. The Star Wars area of the park will be for park guests. I doubt it’ll be open in May going by the reported delays. More likely late 2019.

Does ‘Galaxies edge’ seem like a seperate ticket only part of HS?
I wonder how they would maintain the total immersion if I’d exited into the ‘normal’ Hs?

No, I don’t expect Galaxy’s Edge to be a separate ticket. The hotel is a different thing entirely.

Bit of a dilemma for us, planning late Oct/early Nov 2019. Nice if was open but it will be manic. If it opens a bit later its another excuse to go again- not that excuses are needed

I’m very optimistically hoping for an October opening with soft openings September which we are lucky enough to be invited to 😬.

Disney have applied for permits to test ground conditions near Galaxys Edge for something called Project H. Looks like this could be the site for the resort. Blog Mickey has a report on it here

it will be interesting to see how you get to and from the park and the resort without breaking the immersion
