We always book a Mustang for any US trip (Unless it's a cold one) and always go through usrentacar and book with dollar. They seem to generally only do Mustangs in the convertible category. It may be slightly cheaper with another firm, but i like knowing that i'll get the Mustang without any hassle.

that is what i was told too that dollar only have mustangs in the convertible category.

It seems to be the case. I've only ever used them, and done it for Dallas, Las Vegas etc... and get the Mustang each time (not bored of it yet! ). I don't think you will pay too much more, but if you are dead set on the mustang, then i would pay that slight extra to pretty much guarantee it. Hope that helps.
