Day 8 !
Please forgive all my typos I am soooooooooooooo tired and not getting used to the time difference at all
We drove to San Diego today.Woke up early and had a good breakfast.Headed off at about 10 am.The traffic was much lighter.Lovely drive probably boring for the locals but as a tourist I enjoyed it lol It took around 1 3/4 hours so not bad at all.We found the hotel easily as we have now got used to the satnav ie when it says exit right ahead it actually means there is an exit right ahead but don't take it ! The hotel room wasn't ready but they gqve us a pool pass so we had a gander about and then went to the pool. The pool area is quite small but adequate and the kids had a great time and fried a bit oops ! They had upgraded us for free which was great as I couldn't do it before we left as Virgin's allocation had gone, we were going to pay but it was complimentary and bayside We can see Sea world from our window and the fireworks at night ! The hotel is dated , I can see that it was once lovely but the comforters are stained and the carpets and painwork have seen better days The balcony is huge and looks right over the bay with a lick of paint a recarpet etc they could make alot more money out of it I am sure.We ate in the restaurant and the kids ate free which was just as well as the adult meals were expensive. They had a caribean BBQ on with a guy on steel drums and a singer. My children went out there to throw some shapes on the dancefloor man but it was sadly lost on the yanks there Shame as my ds MJ was wicked especially with his new trilby I collapsed back at the room at around 9 pm I just can't get used to the time difference at all !

sounds brilliant, worrying about the time difference though that was one of my biggest worries! x
