Loved New Orleans so much, can't believe we are back so soon. It's just such a chilled out place

Well hello! I haven't finished your last report yet and here we are with another. I can't keep up! I have got so behind with my Dibbing. Anyway, this trip looks fab. I really enjoyed Miami and would love to visit New Orleans.

Bet you can't believe that you are off next week. At least you should be luckier with the weather this time dodging the snow disruption we have had this week. I will stay tuned and I am always ready for a cocktail recommendation. Hope you keep up the one a day tradition 😆xx

Hello there
Hope all good with you. I too am massively behind on trippies, only managing to keep up with one at a time at the moment.

Ugh. Weather in NO looks lots of rain forecast. If it doesn't improve by Thursday we may cancel and just stay in Florida . I hope not but we are not going away for more crappy weather

Packing has commenced . Insta buddies will recognise these ...

That includes a selection of UK goodies for the ex pat

I was going to ask if I need to declare it
But we all know the answer to that ...
Do you have a small store in your case madam ?

I spent yesterday surveying this lot

But the power of cubes prevailed and after several hours , it all miraculously disappeared. Cube pics to follow... You need to pace yourself with the excitement peeps.

No trip is complete without family drama. Which wasn't provided by the snow although that made commuting a challenge.

No this time it was the dog, who split one nail that required surgery last Sunday

And did the same again on Friday

That required the cone of shame.

All appears ok now though. Nice hefty bill in the week before the hols.

The weather is looking rubbish in New Orleans, wind, cloud, thunder, apocalyptic precipitation ( OK, that may be an exaggeration) but pretty pants really.

If it doesn't change by mid week, we may just gib our plans and stay in Florida. We can be cold and wet at home, we don't need to go to New Orleans to do that ! So much of what we want to do is in open markets that it just won't be fun.

So plan B is in development.
Stay tuned !

I hope the weaher improves in NO as it was one of your favourite cities on your last trip. Still you are right, good idea to have a back up plan so you don't have to camp out in the hotel room, that wouldn't be much fun at all.

I hope so too. I think Andy was hoping we could camp in a bar but not for 4 days.

I was just reading about AMI so am thinking that could be a completely acceptable alternative

Poor pooch - that looks sore!

Well done on the packing! At least once you offload the sweetshop to the expat you'll have shopping room

Here's hoping the NOLA forecast improves!

Well it seems I’m just in time! Have only just finished your last trippie with a marathon catch-up session today, and here you are with the next one.

It all sounds great and it’s good that you’ve got a back up plan ready, just in case the weather doesn’t change for you.
