Trapped nerves

Hi!

I've got a doctors appointment but it's not til the 28th and the problem may have gone by then!

I've had shooting pains down both arms the last week, pain in my elbows and fingers. Now I have weakness in my fingers of both hands.

I've had a trapped nerve before but never in both arms at the same time.

Anybody had this?

I think you should phone NHS 24 if you can't get an appointment till then, since your symptoms are getting worse.

I have had a trapped nerve. Physio sorted it with some traction.

I had golf and tennis elbow, had trouble holding a cup in the end, physio and acupuncture fixed it in the end

If you can afford to see a physio or oesteo they will help massively.
If not maybe phone back the GP and say you need a more urgent appointment.

My dh has this just now. Aggravated by a car accident in May. He is currently on gabbapentin and doing physio but may need an op. We are lucky enough that he has private cover through work and got seen very quickly including getting an mri. I would go to your gp as soon as you can. Don’t wait for it to get better on its own x

I have been getting a lot of pain in my top left arm, and numbness tingling etc, I have also assumed its trapped nerve, and doctor couldnt find any other reason so has referred me for physio, I have acupuncture and ultrasound which I hope will help soon! Its quite painful so I do feel for you. I hope you get it sorted.

I had a trapped nerve in my shoulder after seeing the doctor I was referred for physio, it did help but was a slow process. It recently returned and I have been having massages on the affected area , I have found this far more effective.
