San Francisco - US Airways
Anyone flying via Philadelphia to San Francisco by US Airways the last Saturday in September. If so what are your plans on arrival in San Francisco. We are staying the first four nights at the Radisson on Fishermans Wharf. Then we collect the car and head south.
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated Peter |

Hello - We are flying from Manchester to Philly, then onto san Fran next weds.
We know that due to the time difference, we're going to be absolutely shackattacked, so are staying the first night at a hotel close to the airport called Bay Landings. Neither DH or I can sleep on a plane, so thought this was the best option. We will then return to the airport the following morning and collect our hire car, before driving to San Fran and spend 4 nights at The Tuscan Inn at Fishermans Wharfe. Hope this helps. Sally x |

Morning Sally,
We thought we would do the same but were put off with high cost of parking in San Francisco. So decided to get a shuttle from the airport and have four car free days in the city. We then pick our car up and head off to Monterey. Have a super holiday and I look forward to hearing all about it on your return. Peter |

Morning,
we found that many hotels in SF do 'parking packages' where for just a few dollars more than room rate, you have parking free. We are paying £12 dollars extra over the 4 nights so in effect, paying £3 a day for full privilidged parking. Some hotels Even offer free parking. Just one tip, if you get the chance to go to San Louis Obispo, spend a night at The Apple Farm. You can even just go for a meal, and when we were there in 07, were amazed at how many people stopped off just so they could say they'd been there! applefarm Dh and I are staying in a Millhouse suite, with our own private balcony and hot tub! You have a great time too! Sally x Edited at 07:08 AM. |
