I was very unoriginal this year and grabbed Malteser, Mars & Milkybar button calendars for my 5 kids plus DH. They are all arguing over who has what already (they'll get what they're given)!

I just paid £30 for a Lego one as I forgot to buy it earlier and now they are out of stock most places!

None yet because I've forgotten to buy them !

We also have a wooden one that the kids open on alternate days and I've bought nothing for it so far and after spending 2 hours looking for it earlier I still have no clue where I put it after last year for "safe keeping".

My two just have a Milky Bar and Dairy Milk calendar. I was going to get Shopkins for my DD but I never think the chocs taste so good, not that she would mind.

Last year was the first time in many years that I had an advent calendar. I treated myself to the National Lottery scratchcard advent. I haven't tracked one down this year though but I am sure they must be selling them somewhere.

Not really in to all 'special' advent calendars so dh and I don't have one as we never do but kids have 2 each from their grandparents which are Star Wars and mars for ds and 2 different shopkin ones for dd

I bought my dd14 a Lindt one last year and she said can you go to the pound shop and get me a cheap one. I bought her a Thorntons one with her name on this year, the dog has hers from Pets at Home! Ds 20 at uni said he wants one but hes not here so will have to buy it, I won a marzipan last year and my mum loved it. We have also had one dd made that we filled up every year with chocolates. When we were kids they had nothing behind the door just part of the picture!

I have made our own, lots of different chocolate treats wrapped up, numbered & hung on a rustic log over our bed Can't wait until the 1st!
