Any need for groceries?

I know a few people order groceries in advance, and I’ve been trying to figure out whether we need to or not (still plenty of time to think about it )

We’re staying on site with DDP, and along with the refillable mugs and free water in the parks I can’t think that we’ll need to stock up on water. We’re two adults who are happy to either QS or use snack credits for the breakfasts we don’t have an ADR for, so I don’t think we need cereal... neither of us drink tea, and I’ve heard the hotel has a keurig in the room for coffee (which I’m delighted about as we have one at home after I wanted one for about 8 years and I love all the pods that are available).

Am I missing anything?! We’ll have been in Havana for 3 nights prior to arrival so I’ll already have toiletries with me.

P.S target is one of my favourite things about America in general so we’ll be making a trip there at some point anyway; but only so I can enjoy the novelty of pretending I’m shopping there and to bring home a lot of my favourite snacks

We usually pop to Walmart and get a few things but it’s through choice as there are certain things we like. We have a car though and I don’t think I’d bother if we didn’t. Last year we didn’t have dining plan, we bought a bottle of water each the first day and filled it from either the QS free water or the water fountains. I don’t think there’s any need to buy water.

We've never ordered groceries or found the need to. We do take cereal for quick breakfasts in our room for days when we want to head straight to the parks, and just buy milk from the resort shop. We've never felt the need to buy any more groceries, and certainly haven't gone hungry. I know some people like to order beer and wine, but we don't really drink, so that hadn't been a consideration for us either.

Thank you both we stayed at the clarion inn LBV last year and bought a multipack of water, mostly to have something to drink in our room and for the days we weren’t at the parks, but as we’re only doing Disney, and we won’t have a car, I didn’t think we would need to order in advance. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t forgetting something!

We’ve not had the dining plan. We do rent a car as we like eating off site. So we will pop into Walmart or Publix mainly to get soft drinks and snacks for having in the room. I usually buy a few mini cereals as they’re cheaper than those in the food court.
But if we had the dining plan and no car...I’m sure we wouldn’t bother heading to Walmart.

If you are really frugal (I try to be), you can fill a refillable mug with milk from the food court and keep it in the fridge.

That is very clever! I would most definitely be doing that if we were buying cereal

That's a good idea but wouldn't work for us as we all like to take a drink back to our room in the evening (we have a particular weakness for hot chocolate topped up with half and half), so no one would be willing to give their mug up for milk for breakfast

I guess if you're up early, you could go an fill them with milk for breakfast, but the large cartons of milk are only about $3.50, so we're happy to pay that for the convenience

We’ve never ordered groceries, as adults on the dining plan I think you will be fine without 🙂

Couldn't you just take any drinks container and fill it with milk as it's free-flow rather than needing to be activated like the resort mug/soda machines?

We filled our water bottles up from the kiosks in a similar way without a resort mug (never tried for milk).
