Construction and Coronado Springs

I have just been in touch with 4 different Thomson departments. We travel to CSR in August. First I phoned the branch we booked with - they said they have no resort reps out in Disney until March and can do nothing until then. Then I phoned Head Office and spoke to a very condescending person who said that we won't find out until 2 months prior departure about the construction work and the impact it will have. I said 2 months is too late and by that time we would have paid our money! He said he would transfer me to the Holiday Change Team and then cut me off 😡! I then phoned Complaints. She said that without a letter from Thomson to inform customers of changes to their holiday, the Holiday Change Team would charge for amendments but she gave me the number to speak with them directly. I eventually spoke to a helpful lady who said that they are very aware of the construction taking place and that letters are in the process of being sent out to customers within the next week. They haven't been informed from Disney, they have just heard via social media. They said they are working closely with Disney in light of this and if they feel that there is more than minimal disruption to customers, they will allow customers to change to a similar resort at no extra cost. So it's just a waiting game now!

I booked directly with Disney, so I had to call 0800 169 0730 and speak with guest services

Yes doesn't look great, by August there will be a lovely view of cranes etc as they start to do construction on the tower block.

Think I'm going to give Disney a call about a move after all !

I'm paying money to stay on a building site!
How Disney honestly think people want to stay here having paid the prices we have is beyond me! Never mind looking at the cranes when they move in, you can't exactly hide them behind green walls!

Still no word from TA, and now I am worried that if we want to move, there won't be any space left at PO as everyone else from CBR will have moved.
At least my friend has now agreed, having seen some photos and the warning message when you go to book a holiday now at this resort, that things are not going to be great and she is in agreement that we move.

I've just read as well that VH are offering those who are booked in at CBR a free move to CSR 😳🙄 that isn't going to help!
