Who buys travel toiletries?

I was in Sainsburys earlier and just happened to look at the small travel toiletries, which I expected to be more expensive than the standard sized items, but they were significantly more expensive and frankly a rip off.

For instance looking at the lynx travel shower gel it works out over 5 times more expensive than the standard size per 100ml.

The travel toothpaste is 4 times the price of the standard ones.

We just bring toothpaste to the airport hotel with some left at end and shower gel with some left near the end.

People must be mad to buy travel toiletries:

I agree, looked at all the travel toiletries and went to savers and bought big bottles and little bottles to put them in. I picked up loads of small bottles and put them back. In Florida a trip to Walmart and you’re sorted, no need to take any!

The only travel size ones I buy are hair spray and dry shampoo, I know it’s not cost effective but means I’m not throwing away cans that are almost full at the end of the holiday.

We do bring to Florida (in our suitcases) our own deodorant sprays, shower gels, toothpaste, toilet rolls, bum wipes, washing machine pods, dishwasher tablets, teabags, cereals and this year I will be bringing costa filter coffee

We do twilight check in, so we just keep the remains of toiletries and throw them in the bin.

The overnight hotels have a toiletries pack, we normally just need tooth brushing bits. And deodorant.

Agree - I hate cheap free products in hotels and prefer my own shampoo conditioner shower gel and moisturiser - unless it’s Molton brown or the like then they may somehow end up in my sponge bag - no idea how ...

Hilton at Gatwick have nice smellies! Although you are practically walking distance from Heathrow! So don’t need an hotel.
