I believe that you do use the same wood, we order ours from al local supplier who comes and dumps them on our drive, we then spend around 2 hours piling them up against the wall in the garage!

A friend of mine , her husband trained as a sweep and took it up full time when he retired as a firefighter.
He is always busy and I must say I do enjoy his rooftop photos usually captioned “today’s workplace” with stunning views.
Good sweeps need booking well ahead of time as they are very much in demand and don’t need to advertise as word of mouth keeps them busy.

My Mum had her fireplaces opened up and gas flame fires fitted along with new mantles and surrounds. All done by a specialist company , Came highly recommended and certainly not cheap.
Guess they were having a bad day as they forget to use fire resistant cement and we ended up with the fire brigade turning out and ripping them out as unsafe after one caught fire a week later !
The company finally settled the day before the court hearing.

Perfect- that sounds ideal (except the 2 hours of stacking wood ) Thank you so much

What a great career transition! Yes, this lady was recommended by one of our neighbours so I am happy to wait.

Oh my goodness- that is awful. You were all so lucky not to have been injured, I’m pleased that they settled before having to go to court, that must have been a relief. Xx
