This is interesting. I am looking for something for DH and DS to do while DD and I are at MNSSHP. Orlando gun club require 2 over 21s to be be present and DS is 19 so can't do that one. Are there any such restrictions at Machine gun America. Could you give me an estimate of cost and how long they would be in there.
Thanks for any help. |

We've been to Oakridge Gun Range twice, its about a 20 minute drive from International Drive. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced (my last visit was around 4 years ago)

We go to Shooting Gallery Range, 39th Street and S John Young Parkway. It's a 10 minute drive from WonderWorks on I-Drive as an idea of distance.
It used to be a locals place, i.e. hardly any tourists. Kinda still is. Last time I was in there two cops were giving private lessons on how to gun down an intruder. Interesting stuff. One of the cops joked and said you can always tell a Brit in a gun range, he's the one hiring AKs and M16s I actually went there once and the locals refused to let me shoot with regular targets and instead gave me giant copies of Osama Bin Laden targets. God Bless America In terms of the cost, the gun rental is dirt cheap, but the ammo can be crazy money. I might be wrong about this but I think the 457 ammo was a buck a shot. Firing machine guns that empty the magazine in seconds and it soon adds up. |
