Disney protocol rope drop

Hi All, 6th time in Florida and never made rope drop once although many early starts. However, determined to get into that Pandora queue early so tomorrow is the day. Was wondering what the protocol is. If you arrive before opening does that mean that you can get bag check done or does that commence from park opening? Is it v chaotic? Just want to prepare as with children. With thanks😊

Yes you get your bag checked and then queue to scan in. Only ever been at the front of the line once as loads of people must get there at stupid o'clock.

It is usually busy and plenty will be heading for pandora but that will be the best way to do it.

I believe they will walk you forward anyway, otherwise it would be a scrum

They walk a separate line to Pandora, but still expect a lengthy wait even at rope drop.

We were there 2 weeks ago for EMH. Got to park at 7.20, through bag check, into pandora and were on the Na�vi river ride by 7.50.
