There used to be a hairpin turn old bridge on Cape Cod where I grew up. The state spent over $1 million widening and improving it because it was considered so dangerous. In the UK it would be considered perfectly fine. I have to take 2 worse bends just to get my kids to school.
Maybe they were concerned that another of the Kennedy clan may come along the road and drive off the bend killing another Political Aide, namely Mary Jo Kopechne !

It's State Law you must pass emergency vehicles in next lane out or on 2 lane slow till past.

I'm not that old and it was on Cape Cod not Martha's Vineyard. I don't think Teddy had the excuse if a hairpin turn either!

Ha ha, Yes I know where it was, not that far away though. Isn't it starnge I still remember that poor girls name after all these years. Funny how certain things stick in your mind!
