Never used the bedside radio since he stopped the morning show. As you say much missed.

We hired a Chevy Cuze from COTD. I think it's their class 2 and it was ample. 2 adults and 2 kids with a double stroller in the boot and all the other junk you pick up on holiday. It did feel a bit like driving a go cart but mainly because of the automatic gearbox.
Plenty of room and worth the extra cost for the stress free element. |

Quick tip - just remember that as the driver you'll always be sitting closest to the middle of the road (same as at home! ).

You can always look at google maps and study the route that you have to take from the airport to your accommodation. Print it off and read it before you get off the aircraft or get a passenger to give you directions.

It's also worth reading up on some slight differences in rules than over here eg. you can turn right at most red lights so long as nothing is coming (but not all! ). You'll generally know which as everyone behind you beeps!
Also, at a 4 way junction with no lights, the person first to the junction has right of way, then everyone else goes in the order they arrived. I asked a taxi driver in Vegas about this and he told me the 'rule' - I find that nearly everyone follows this, however, be prepared for the odd person who doesn't! Just go for it, you'll enjoy it (My advise may not be 100% legally accurate in accordance with the US highway code so please double check! ) |

If you want a little light reading, here's the drivers handbook.

They don't have roundabouts which is great as you don't have to worry which way round to go!
