Prepaid tolls

So yesterday both out parties made stupid mistakes in the tolls!
Our sat nav told us to stay in an outside Lane meaning we went through a prepaid toll. How can I rectify this? Think it was an ezpass one and found a website you could search but nothing.
Also my stepdaughter went through a correct change only toll and they didn't have the right money and they were given an envelope to post a cheque too. You can't get through to anyone on the tel number just end up going round in circles.
Not a great start!

quite a few of the hire companies auto enroll you in the ezpass now. so they pay the toll, and charge it back to you plus an admin fee.

As above you will be enrolled to use sunpass now, you will be charged $3.95 per day admin fee when you use a EZ pass toll (up to a maximum of $20) plus the tolls.

i did something similar last month - one of the tolls was not manned and only had notes. it was less than a fiver on my card when i got back - no drama
