Living care antigen x 6 £25 each.
Randox x 4. £48 each.

My calculation was based on :

3 x Antigen @ £59.99 each prior to departure - £179.97
3 x Antigen @ £59.99 each (in France - guesstimate of cost but used Boots price) - £179.97
4 x PCR on day 2 @ £85 each (Boots) - £340

TOTAL £699.94

I will take a look at the suppliers you suggest but it seems to be a lot of trouble for a 2 day break and we are now erring on the side of using this money for either a few extra days in Florida next summer or upgrading our hotel.

You can get them cheaper but it’s still at least £340 ish for a few days. Those antigen are ridiculously expensive. Must be making a fortune.

The annoying thing is I take the antigen tests 3 times a week for work. I'm allowed to take one any time that I want, so take one after my days off if that doesn't fall on a test day. We also do one PCR a week.

The amount of tests we have must cost a fortune, if they're being honest about costs.

However I think part of the cost is probably admin for the processing of your 'proof', it can't be lab costs. 🤷

Ok we are currently on motorway on way back from going to DLP, we have used C19 tests for going to and coming back to uk going through Eurotunnel no problems whatsoever so £29 x 6 for 3 people, you can travel to a test site for your 2 day test which if you are near one is a damn sight cheaper (from £10) than at home ones ours for a 2&8 day were £77.90 for each of us from expert medical ( check on .gov list for suppliers as there are some cheaper options for on site and click and collect before travelling) hope this info helps someone x

Can I ask, the form you have to fill in before you leave France saying you have no symptoms etc. If you fill in the ‘green’ one that’s wrong as we’re Amber, but the amber one says 7 days quarantine. So which one did you use?

If you go to eurotunnel website and click covid information on the top of the page it actually had everything there to print off and explained everything perfectly.
