The silkworm would have startled me, too. Anything unexpected near your face like that would, wouldn't it?

Again, gorgeous photos of the water, the wildlife and the forest.

The hike looks lovely. Wonder why the forest was so hot. You'd expect it to be cooler, if anything. <scratches chin> I love the tall trees. There's something about gazing up at trees that tower like that and North America has its share of them.

P.S. They really don't need to be showing calorie counts for the ice cream! Ice cream is known to be measured in "yums". As is fudge!

I think toads are generally uglier

We didn't understand why it was so warm! Very strange!

I hadn't seen one either - it was J who identified it (and I didn't check he was right )

The outdoor porch was useful as an extra line of defence against the dreaded bugs
