I guess not as it has to be displayed as you leave the garage at MCO since it's scanned there.

Reading the FAQs page looks like they have added a $10 deposit now - but they will use that for the tolls, but if you don't return it they will take the $10 as well as the toll charges - this is new isn't it ? not that it is a bad idea

Deposit wasn't required in 2019 but they swiped your CC when you picked up the tag. I guess the $10 deposit is a deterrant to avoid them not being returned and personally I'm in favour of that.

I haven't found the app on Google play for my Samsung yet but I guess that you link your CC into the app?

Excellent news, well spotted. We used this in 2019 and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread! I don't mind the $10 deposit as that can then be used towards paying for the tolls. I loathe going through toll booths normally, I get very stressed and end up dropping the coins or panicking that I don't have enough change! I always resisted paying for the toll pass with the car hire company as I am naturally suspicious of anything extra a car hire company tries to get me to pay for!

The web site appearance has changed and I must have a quick read to see if it's still the same as before. If it is it's truly a no-brainer.

Mick that looks good but the link only refers to MCO as we will fly from Bristol with TUI do you know if the same is possible at Melbourne?

Sadly the VTP only ever worked from MCO.

You'll have to rely on the individual hire company's Sunpass schemes I'm afraid out of MLB.

Never had any trouble with hire car Sunpass schemes. Alamo is the best and you need to be careful with Dollar. You might end up paying the best part of a hundred dollars and only use one toll.
