DLP - sadly cancelling

Attempting to cancel our booking this morning based on the refund guarantee they offered. The prospect of testing / failing tests and the cost of tests has ended it for us - plus no doubt continued restrictions in the autumn.

Wish me luck - I get the feeling its not going to be all that straight forward

Such a shame. We are supposed to go in November but really not sure whether it will happen.

Oh well, next year is the 30th anniversary so hopefully we can all celebrate then.

We’re going to cancel ours today 😭 I was trying to hold out hope but with the testing costs, now still having to quarantine on return and the risk of it going red whilst there it was just too risky! I’m gutted as I really didn’t want to let the government make me submit to their stupid travel rules but I’ve given in, UK break it is!

We’re due to go in November I think we’ll end up having to cancel.

In addition to the added quarantine now imposed we’ve just found out DH is one of the 5 million who had the AZ vaccine manufactured in India so he’s not classed as vaccinated by the french system.

We're hanging in there, hoping it gets sorted by November, but it's all fully cancellable. Haven't booked any transport yet, if we end up having to pay big bucks at the last minute then frankly I don't care.

This is me. Due to go in October and have faced up to the fact that we won’t be.

We were due to go on the 25th July. Tests etc already bought.
Cancelled yesterday after Boris u-turn as dont want to quarantine.
Magic breaks are giving us a full refund. Gutted.

We were spending 4 nights in Newport bay and then moving catching the tgv to stay with family for 5 nights in Bordeaux.
Currently scouring tui website to find something else for the kids and so the tests don't go completely to waste.
