BA voucher for car hire

Hi. As is the title, I’ve got a Ł400 BA voucher to use but as I’ve booked next year’s trip independently, I’m not quite sure what to do with it. I notice you can book hire cars on the BA site and wondered if anyone knows if I can use this voucher towards the cost of a car. Thanks

Yes you can. We had Ł700 in vouchers from BA and as we were not going abroad this year we decided to hire a car over here to drive to Scotland as we need a new car and our current one won’t make it 😂 So rang BA and booked a hotel car to pick up & drop off from Heathrow for a week and just paid the extra which was Ł75. You have to call them to do it though. We had to pay extra insurance as it wasn’t included but I think that’s just because it was a UK hire not USA.
