Think I'll stick to pizza - found a local pizza chain last time called Saizeriya which was quite dependable and found almost every town we went to, thankfully. Taco Bell is only about 5 min walk from our hotel so will be visiting there at least once hopefully (as long as they're better than Madrid - yuck! ).
I don't eat mushrooms so that was a problem with most vegan style dishes. Honestly, though the places they go to look AMAZING. I think even the ramen place I went to was recommended.

Stick with what you know are are comfortable with

Love your hotel room. Fantastic.
No way would I eat pink chicken. You did right to stick with the rice. Are the restaurants empty because the Chinese can't afford the dishes or do they eat very early?

it was very strange, two places, a noodle bar and cheesecake factory were packed, everywhere else was dead. It was the same when we looked at different times, early and late. At park closing everyone went straight home rather than to disneytown. Park restaurants were VERY busy

Wow, what an eventful day! Shame the restaurant was so bad.
