So many DIBBers going at Christmas! We've booked CBR 20th Dec-2nd Jan, I've just got to swap our Virgin Atlantic flights from july and hoping its not going to be too stressful.
Does anyone know if you can (presuming things are normal) hire one of those boats that take you to near the bridge at EPCOT to watch the fireworks? I'm thinking that would be pretty cool to do NYE. Also can i suggest people watch L&R Dreaming 2019 christmas Florida video, I'm finding it really helpful to get an idea of when and how to tackle the parks. Happy planning everyone |

That makes sense, it's an awful lot of money. I will be interesting to see how the cruise industry tackle all this. Shame they're not offering discounted rates!

As it stands Ive booked 13th- 27th December, leaving options to add a day or so at either end if flights are cheaper.
Just my youngest son and I going. Hes taking a gap year so this is THE time to go at Christmas. Maybe the only time. Staying at the Yacht Club again as we loved it last time. But have gone all out and booked a water view as a treat. Have booked our park days in - thought wed do Magic Kingdom on Christmas Eve to just be there and experience the build up you know, then Epcot for Christmas Day as we can have a nice stroll along from the resort with no waiting around for transport. My main worry is flights. Im either going to book BA direct with a night at the airport ...or something else lol- used to flying Virgin from Gatwick- but dont feel the love at the moment. |

OMG I just started watching it and 😭😭😭 I want to go back so bad! Even just listening to the announcements on the bus takes me right back. Really hope we all get back there later this year! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Ah, not sure, will need to find out. That would help though.
There would be more than enough to keep us busy without Disney, my dh is a golfer and I love going with him so that would work along with trips out and about, but I cant imagine going for the first time at Christmas and not doing Disney. |

Thanks, my preference would still be for August to go ahead as that would be quite possibly our last holiday as a family. Eldest is supposed to be finding a job this year! Christmas will be very different but might be the only chance for some of us to get a much needed holiday out of 2021. If splitting up we might fly out just after Xmas instead.
My DD and I would really enjoy visiting the resorts just to see the decorations, DS and DH not so much lol We went to a MVMCP once in early November about 10 years ago now. I loved it and they were working on the GF gingerbread house at that time! Havent been able to travel at that time of year since as all 3 were at secondary school and didnt want to miss a week for holidays at mid term Anyway fingers crossed for us all! So many dibbers trying for Xmas now |

Does anyone wonder if things will be worse during winter? Someone I know has told me this is the prediction. I thought things would just keep getting better as the year goes on as more people would have been vaccinated. Winter being worse for Covid makes no sense to me 🤷🏼
What are peoples thoughts on this?

I think it will come back each year similar to flu but hopefully a weaker strain, unfortunately it apparently likes the cold weather! I think the government will spend most of this year trying to get back on top of things and hopefully there will be a huge dip in summer followed by not a big a strain in winter

We are going December 17 th - Jan7th . Staying dvc VGF till 22nd then driving down to Miami for a night before boarding NCL Joy for 11 night cruise around southern Caribbean, then possibly back up to Orlando for the last 4 nights . We would normally stay in Miami longer but with it being January I cant imagine it being warm enough for the sea .
Whats the weather been like past Christmases in Orlando has it been warm enough to swim and sunbath some days . ? |

The weather can be very erratic. Some days it can be boiling, other days it can be freezing. Best thing is to pack clothes for all weathers and you'll be good!
