We are. Already have a house to move into that we are renovating then our current house will be put straight onto the market. Hoping to move 27th August or thereabouts. Our last move in 2014, took 6 months and was nothing but hassle at every stage so I totally sympathise with anyone going through similar!

We’ve hit a hurdle that I should have seen coming (my own fault)

Come to the realisation that our rear single story extension doesn’t have a completion certificate, it was being done by a conservatory company and initially was going to have a glass roof and as such didn’t come under building regs.

Long story short we changed to a lightweight solid roof with velux before construction started thus no longer a conservatory but no completion certificate.

We have all the warranty info but pretty sure that’s no use.

It hasn’t come up with the buyer yet but I’ve told our solicitor, hoping we can negotiate and indemnity insurance helps but I’m very worried this is going to cause the sale and our purchase to fall through

Stupid mistake to make, but if this falls through now with baby 3 due in December not quite sure what we’ll do!

We're still stuck, keeping everything crossed we exchange before Thursday but looking highly unlikely. Don't know how much longer I can cope with the stress of it all.

Good luck tomorrow, hope it all goes smoothly for you.

I’m still waiting to exchange on my mums house, the Land Registry have returned the paperwork that is needed, hoping we can exchange this week before we go away on Friday.

We bought and subsequently sold a house with a large conservatory extension without the completion certificate.

We had an indemnity insurance policy. It was about £75 and seemed to solve the problem.

That’s my hope, it does happen and a lot of people are fine with it but some aren’t

I have all the warranties including for the workmanship so hopefully be ok
