Yes just had an email from them to confirm - literally a few hours after they’ve requested a meter reading.

What’s the best course of action for me now? Sit tight to see what happens or shop around via Quidco which I normally do every time my fixed rates end?

I’m also with People’s Energy and I’ve noticed we have a large credit balance. Will that be safe?😳

I'm with utility Point who've just gone bust as well. On the Martin Lewis money saving website it says don't do anything yet. Wait till your account gets automatically switched over to another company. Once you've been moved you can them go on comparison sites or switch to another company if you can find a cheaper deal elsewhere.

Ah great thank you - I hate sorting out switching at the best of times, let alone when I wasn’t expecting it! I’ll sit tight for now 👍

At the beginning of the year I switched from EDF to Igloo. Since then igloo have increased their prices twice so I’m not actually any better off. It’s not really igloos fault as their prices fluctuate with the markets. I don’t see wholesale prices dropping any time soon so I’ve switched back to EDF and locked it in for three years, so at least no scary price increases. British Gas doing a 2yr fix as well if anyone is interested.

I just set a new 2 year fixed deal with the same company that I’m already with via a comparison site for £1 extra per month

My lot wanted over £1000 per year 🤣

Glad I found this thread!
I’m paying £79 p.m. and the contract expires this time next month. The new cost is £110 p.m. with the same company and is the cheapest quote I can find.
What do I do, change now and pay the new tariff or wait, I guess it could increase further?

Done it, found a slightly cheaper deal with Sainsburys, 2 year fixed with no exit fees. Whew
