Hi, glad you're OK?
How are you feeling now? Hope you continue to recover well.
I have my apot tomorrow to find out if I am suitable for UFE or if its a hysterectomy for me.

Xx

The wind is quite bad and can be a bit painful, worst thing is not being able to push it out, no use of bowel muscles! Feel sore and bruised but only on day 5 so trying not to expect too much. They say at least 2 weeks befor start to feel better. Mentally I am ok I think, dont like being in pain, feel like I am wishing my life away to not be in pain. Someone mentioned about the bowel muscles to me being useless. It is true, cant use them. Trying to do pelvic floor but doesnt seem to be helping, I am sure all will get back to normal at some point x

glad to hear that you have had your op and are beginning your recovery
i am 14 weeks post abdominal hysterectomy, which has been quite the journey
i did not start to feel better till week 6 and my suture line had healed
it will be better, you will get back to normal, the pain will go, the peeing and bowels will return to normal and you will get some energy back. might not feel like it today, however cut yourself a bit of space and have a good rest. i had lots of naps in the first few weeks as i felt knackered most of the time.
i used peppermint tea, dates, fruit and plenty fluids for the bowels
when sitting or in bed keep doing some pelvic exercises the do help
i also had had heat pack for my back and tummy this helped me as i was so bloated and in pain. make sure that when you are in bed you rest a pillow between your knees as this helps take any pressure in your hips and tummy
please make sure you have a good discussion with the consultant and your GP regarding HRT, especially if you have had your ovaries removed. i started the gel last week and i am not giving that up for anyone any time soon.
