He has to wait 56 days between doses which is Sunday. I will go to the drop in vaccination clinic on Monday but tui will only amend FOC within 28 days of travel, which is Friday this week.

Can you not just tell Tui, before Friday, that he will have his second before you go and see what they say. Or otherwise ask what the costs will be if they wont except this, and just take the hit.

I also agree some people are being harsh, probably ones who haven't been in the same situation.
I've been in this situation a few times now with COVID. Including right now, I'm supposed to be in Sweden but with the imposition of the mandatory stay at home I had to cancel as I have stuff tomorrow that can't be rescheduled and no PCR was possible between landing at 10 tonight and starting the drive to my next activity at 7am tomorrow.

Needless to say no refund, and due to how close to flight, no rearrange either

So he can have his second dose on Monday? And you don’t travel for 4 weeks? I don’t understand what the issue is, as he will be fully vaccinated before travelling.

You don’t get evidence of under 18’s vaccinations I think that is the issue

But that’s not what the OP said. She said he couldn’t go as not fully vaccinated, but it turns out he will be.

Surely if they’re going to be offering the full vaccination now to under 16’s, they will be able to provide proof of said vaccination. If 119 can’t help, I’d be asking the GP for a letter.

I only found out today that he can get his 2nd vaccine as the decision to double vaccine under 16s was only made yesterday, if I can get it at the walk in clinic there is no panic and we can go.

Glad your potentially sorted, check the age for the walk in as not all do under 16's.

Our GP’s are snowed under the last thing that I would be asking for us them to provide a letter so I could go on holiday. I would rather them deal with all the people who need cancer referrals !
