Anyone done the Theme Parks on their Own?
Hey,
Just wondered if anyone had done this. On my up and coming trip I am travelling out with my best pal but we are traveling home on our own. They could only get 11 nights off work. Rather than me travelling via London to get home I am staying for 3 nights on my own so I can fly home directly to Glasgow. Plus I have a 14 day park ticket anyway. Will be sad to say bye to them when they leave but sort of looking forward to going to the parks on my own and just doing what I want to do. Anyone got any tips or advice?

Yes, use those days to do exactly what you want, be it something new, or something again and again and again.
Best part is you answer to nobody. Just do what you want. |

Sounds fab. Lol. Cant wait. Will have such a laugh with my best pal for the majority of the trip and will be sad when they leave but at the same time I am quite excited about my own mini adventure! Anything I don't get done with my pal I will make sure I see or do when they are away home!

When we travelled last September i had about 4 days in the parks on my own. Hubby and son had lazy days by the pool but i wanted to be in the parks. Its great as you can just do what and when you like. No waiting for other to finish the rides going to show you want to see even being able to chose where you wish to eat. Its great go for it and don't waste those tickets

Yes I did one day on my own last year due to my mum being ill.
I was a bit apprehensive but ended up having a great day. Went to Animal Kingdom solo and enjoyed my day. The part I enjoyed least was eating by myself but did enjoy people watching!

Not WDW but have done DLP solo. No one to complain while I stake out parade spots for an hour, or chase (not literally ) characters around the park for photos. Had the chocolate covered marshmallows for dinner one night as it was all I fancied, no one there to talk sense into me. It was great.

Haha. I am loving the idea of a chocolate marshmallow! But I like my food so that would be after me dinner. Eating on my own doesn't really bother me. Will probably just do quick service and people watch. Plus it means I can eat when I feel like it and means I have more time to explore the parks! And yeah I will be able to look for my parade spot early without anyone moaning! hahaha

Yes, I love it. DH plays golf so I go off on my own either exploring or shopping or spending time in a park doing what I want to do.

I like the way you can do the attractions that others don't like and just people watch while waiting for the fireworks / parades.
See my two solo trips below and see how fun it can be.

I've never done this and with younger children (under ten) I can't imagine it happening any time soon, if ever! However I'm quite sure that I'd have a fantastic time if I did. Whilst I adore visiting with my family is think it'd be great to be able to wander around just doing whatever I felt like for a day. I hope you have a fabulous time
