Is this a use year thing?
Hi everyone. I’m still in the ‘doing research’ phase and there’s something I’m not understanding. I hope I’m able to explain clearly enough!
I saw a post with someone offering to rent out points which could be used at x resort by March next year (which is 8 months) or any resort by November this year (4 months), and I dont understand why. If they had a March use year and wanted the points gone by then wouldn’t they still be able to book at any resort for up to 7 months? I guess this could just be their personal preference but I want to make sure I’m not missing something. Thanks for your help. |

If they had a March use year and the points were going to expire in March. Then they could book stays at any resort between now and January and at the home resort until March.
its possible they don’t want to take bookings in the last few months of their use year in case of cancellations. Edited at 04:55 PM. |

Thanks. That’s what I thought. I would assume that if it was for cancellation reasons they’d still allow until January if they’re happy to do home resort until March?
Maybe it’s not a DVC reason at all. :-) |
