They are definitely putting mobility issues in ordinary queue as there were about 3 wheelchairs there and hidden disability are being processed quickly as before.
Also lifts are now back as before take you straight up to train, no secondary screening, so much better than we thought.
Thank you for posting this - I was stressing that if I have to use a wheelchair when we go that DD wouldn't be able to manage all the suitcases/bags by herself - she's only 5'4" and calls herself a T-Rex

Anyone know then, if you ask for wheelchair special Assistance do you still have to wait til last to get off the plane and then go to the back of the "normal" line? As that seems unfair.
Hoping you're all going to say get off plane as you usually would- wheelchair waiting and head to line with everyone else.

We waited till last off the plane as that's what we usually do and then we collect daughter's wheelchair. Special assistance were waiting there with their chairs so they said we would have been fine if we'd come off at the beginning with everyone else. I'd definitely recommend you get off as soon as you can!

If you can get a sunflower lanyard to indicate hidden disabilities for the autism that should help. I emailed Gatwick airport and they sent it in the post. They also had them at the airport
