Discovery Cove... to book or not
We are travelling in april next year and currently looking at what tickets to get, thinking universal and maybe a 2 day base ticket for Disney - Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Question is I’m debating booking DC for Easter Sunday. It’s just a lot of money 🙈😭 I’m trying to justify it by saying we’d probably pay for seaworld / aquatica tickets anyway so if u factor that in its only an extra £500 ish. Anyway, question - would a 6 year old get a lot out of the park itself apart from the dolphin swim?

Book it... it is our favourite thing to do, so much so that next time we are planning to go twice (I know it is expensive, but it's totally worth it)!
Your 6 year old would love it. There are lots of shallow water areas, the aviary, otters, marmosets. It may take them a while to get used to the stingrays but if they can swim, once they realise they are harmless they will love them too, I am sure. It's a once in a lifetime... at least we thought that but keep going back Oh and don't forget all of the food and drinks are included!

Possibly our best day in Orlando ever. Our son was 9 when we did it and enjoyed snorkelling as well as the Dolphin swim. If our budget would have stretched we would have done it again this year but it will be on the list for the next visit without question.

Ah thanks, yes it is a fab place. Me and the hubby did it 12 years ago when we were on honeymoon and I know the 10 year old will love it. The 6 year old is a fab swimmer just wonder how he will be up close to the fish etc. I might actually book it and keep it quiet from them all!
