You know my thoughts on it Tom having been in Caribbean Beach the other week- stuck on the side of Caribbean Beach and a road. There will be nowhere to walk to that I can see, aside from walking around Caribbean Beach. I was quite excited about it, but having seen it in the flesh I think $110 is about right! I could be proven wrong though when its all done and somehow Disney make it amazing.

Well the craziness continues.
Just saw a 50 pointer SSR at £135. When you account for cheaper closing, and 65% dues paid on this year's points, direct was actually cheaper. I know small contracts are premium, so I put in $100 pp offer. They said multiple offers and I'm not highest. I said OK $105 max. Sold to someone else for higher. SSR contracts definitely seem to be heading north of $100 now, seem to have shot up recently.

When I was looking last month there were some around $117 and the ad said asking price only. I had an online chat to see if worth offering and was told no. It was gone within a few days.

I think Saratoga Direct is $155 at the minute, so why anyone would pay $135 Resale is beyond me by the time you factor in the closing costs, you're not going to be far off $155.
For us, we are looking for a 100 point add-on with a Jun UY, to match what we have, I've been following a few Jun UY but in nearly all the cases, the contracts have been bigger than we need. So our decision will have to be based on: Direct for ease & buy exactly what we need or Resale & get more points for the same money... SD

Nearly- it's 151 a $6 a point increase on pre Jan. I'd be reluctant to pay over 15k on a 100 pointer, but given the chart Tom refers to it seems 100 ish is becoming the norm.
Unless I get a really good deal I'll hang on until Xmas as I'm in no rush.

There is a 30 point contract for SSR that has come on the market today for $155. Absolute madness!

Just seen that, stripped as well. So with extra closing and missing points (with dues paid on a proportion of this years' points direct) you are paying around $1000 more than direct.
Absolutely barmy, what are the brokers thinking, it's credibility destroying? I'm wary of a broker who'd put that up
