Thank goodness for that! That and the Great Movie Ride were my favourite bits of it. I also loved the backstage tour including Catastrophe Canyon and seeing the animators - they were doing Mulan one of my trips. So much of my favourite stuff has gone

I'm hoping that Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is open by the time we go as it looks really interesting.

The provisional date seems to be 1st May 2019 last I heard? It'd be nice if it were open (or perhaps tech rehearsal) during our trip, but I won't panic too much. I'm sure the ride will be good but I do lament the loss of TGMR for it. I can't say Toy Story Land excites us too much as a group of adults.

The one upside to DHS having been scaled back so far for redevelopment is there's less to cram into a day, you can 'do everything' and still have plenty of time to spare. If only you could make use of that by watching both the evening shows, rather than them being timed to conflict with each other!

Right now, there are as many rides in HS as there's ever been. There's also just as much to do in terms of shows and other attractions as there used to be. Admittedly, some of the theming (Star Wars!) might not be to some people's preference.

At least it's better than when the park first opened - there were only 2 rides back then, (a much longer) Backlot Tour and the Great Movie Ride.

There used to be a big Mickey' s Sorcerers Apprentice hat (blue with silver stars) at the top of Hollywood Boulevard in front of Graumans Chinese theatre.
Some loved it (there was a pin trading shop in it) and some hated it as it blocked the authentic view going up Hollywood Boulevard.
It was removed about 3 years ago.

Great Movie Ride was one of our favourites. We will miss it. Not so much for the ride itself (although we did enjoy it) but more for the sentimental feel we got every time we rode it.
