Ecv rental ?

We will be travelling out to Florida at the end of August. We will be being joined by my dad who for the first time will need some help getting round the parks. I have told him that I am going to hire a mobility scooter for him. I am just looking for recommendations and experiences of getting it in/ out of a vehicle. We have booked a 7 seater dodge caravan for when we are there. Many thanks

We order an ECV for my mum. Order from Apple Scooters who deliver to our resort.

When collecting our SUV we always check boot sizes to check the ECV will fit in. We order the portable one that can be taken apart therefore easier to put in boot.

It’s heavy to lift especially in the Florida sun but between the two of us we usually manage!

A fellow owner recommends km-rentals/ when she is over.

We found the Grand Caravan okay for putting a scooter in and out - heavy though

I'm just about to have ankle surgery and we go in 5 weeks. Not sure yet if I will need an ECV but have a quote from K&M rentals of $220 for 2 weeks delivered and picked up at AKL. It comes apart too. I'm not booking it till the week before in case I don't need it. They are cool with that.

We used florida mobility rentals. They were great and scooter could be easily dismantled to put in car. We had a grand caravan too

I use Walker Mobility who deliver and collect and who have scooters which fit in a car boot

This is a whole section of this on the disability forum with loads of recommendations of local companies. Based on these we have opted for K &M Rentals who - like pretty much all of them do - deliver and collect from your resort/villa. The clincher for me though was the sun canopy and drinks holder.
