Best family internet security ?
Anyone recommend a security package that includes plenty of devices and is good for families with kids ?
I always used Fsecure until they disappeared then went with Kaspersky (not impressed) and Norton which was ok but a faff to set up. |

I use AVG Internet Security. Covers unlimited devices, windows, MAC and android for 1 year for €55. Never had an issue with it and it's not too intrusive or processor heavy. They have other add-ons for tune-ups etc but I don't bother with them. Prefer to maintain that myself.

is there anything specific you want to do? opendns is a good (free) option... it takes a bit of fiddling with, but as long as your router supports using external DNS providers, you can set various site type blocks (eg gambling, drugs, adult content) and it will also log breaches, so you can run a report to see who tried to access what blocked sites
signup.opendns/homefree/ hth *edit* bear in mind the free version doesnt support site blocking when accessing the internet via a mobile connection - for that, youll need the paid version, but if its just for locking down devices on your home network (eg, using tablets/laptops connected to the home wifi), the free version is more than adequate Edited at 04:09 PM. |

Thanks for the suggestions - I need a package that includes all the options for protecting and policing a family with children.
