Benidorm , things to see and do
So we are off to Benidorm in a couple of weeks and thinking about pre-booking some tickets / days out
What do you recommend ? The obvious things that come up are Terra Mitica Mundomar Aqualandia The above 3 you can buy as separate , or all 3 combined, or any 2 from 3 . Reviews seem a bit mixed ? terra Mitica sounds like its had its day - is it worth it ? Does the Iberia/Islands bit add a lot on experience wise as they sell tickets with/without that section ? Are the other two worth the cost ? Then also Terra Natura Aqua Natura Again , individual tickets or combined ( looks like can spend one combined day at the two , or visit each on a separate consecutive day ?) do you recommend them ? Is there enough to do to last 2 separate days ( don't have to be full days) or best done as one fuller day ? What else is worth doing / seeing in / around Benidorm ? Never been so all help appreciated Ta

Do you have a hire car as that may help with replies?

We’re going just north of Benidorm for three months next year. One place we know about is Les Fonts del Agua (spelling apologies!). See if you can find it on google and work out if it’s what you are looking for. Also Denia is a nice place for a visit. There’s a castle on the hill with spectacular views. Also got my first ever glimpse of red squirrels there.

Thanks Floridafan. I will check those out.
Just really looking for any comments in particular on the 5 " parks" that I mentioned in the first post ( as if we do go based on recommendations would like to pre book tickets to save a bit of wonga. Plus anything else that people recommend in Benidorm itself or in the surrounding area.

We used to really like Terra Natura but not been for a few years. Aqua natura is nice to cool down after a day in the animal park but its not really a full day in it's own and it doesn't have any really big slides or anything.

We stayed at Magic Natura a couple of years ago which gave free entry to Terra Natura zoo and Aqua Natura water park. Because we were onsite we went to the zoo a couple of mornings and had a couple of full days at the water park. We aren't really into water slides so can't comment if they were any good but the pool was nice and a good splash park for the kids. The things that made the water park for us though were Mermaid school where my daughter and I got dressed up as mermaids, had photo shoot then learnt to swim with a tail, and swimmimng with sea lions.
The only other thing we did was go to the old town for a wander around and took the boat to Peacock island and did submarine. It was fun but a little choppy for my liking. |
