If you order takeout from Longhorns for example, do you tip as if you sat for your meal in the actual restaurant?

Completely different country with completely different rules/outlook/etiquette etc on things ie tipping, hence the valid question as we have never done takeout.

I would sit outside a pub/bar in the uk on a nice summer day with a pint. I wouldn't in the USA! Because they are completely different countries with completely different rules/outlook/etiquette.

Never done a take-out from a restaurant in Florida but we did use the Bamboo Wok Chinese take out in May which I suppose is similar. Just paid the face value of the menu.

First time we've used it by the way in about 20 odd visits to the Berry Town Center area. It was very good.

Some nights after a long day we just fancy going back to the villa, kids in the pool, glass of wine and chilling esp as our friends have a 2 year old.

With Applebees and Bamboo wok very close by we thought takeout will be easier (didn't know you could do it for the big restaurants until reading on here!).

We have had the Bamboo Wok a few times. Very good Chinese

Can't remember if we tipped though as missus would go in whilst i nipped round publix for essentials. Knowing her she tipped

I'm always thinking should we tip when they pack our bags doing a food shop
