Tsa prechk on boarding pass

I have just checked in and printed our boarding passes. My 17 year old daughter has TSA prechk printed on hers. What does this mean please?

You get to go through a separate security section which is much quicker. I had it last time but my husband didn’t so I sat and waited for him for half an hour after I’d gone through.

Ok, thank you. Don’t think DD will want to go through separately so hopefully it’s not compulsory.

No it’s not compulsory I usually have TSA prechk on mine but just go through as normal with everyone else

When we travelled back from Vegas in 2016 there were 3 of us with pre-check on the boarding pass and my mum didn't. We were all going to go through the normal queue but the security officer allowed us all to go through pre-check. It was so much quicker and easier.
