Your thoughts please - travel cost!

I would really appreciate your expert thoughts on what you would expect to pay for flights!

We will be a family of 5 (DW and myself and 3 DD’s 17, 13 and 7) travelling on 14th July 2019 for 3 weeks.

We really would prefer direct flights but happy to fly from anywhere in the UK as we are based fairly centrally.

Interested to see what you think would be reasonable - thanks in advance

Personally I would expect to pay anywhere from 2-4K direct. Depends on what you feel is a comfortable price and your happy with. Then don’t look back if you book,

Family of 5 direct could be expensive. Budget £4K and hope for less!

Try to stick to direct. You could get cheaper breaking it up but it could be draining with children of that age. I agree with the figures above.

If you can find economy flights for £600 per person at that time you are doing well.

We have often found fly drive prices lower than buying just flights. You just have to check on the insurance you get with the car ayou may need additional cover.

Family of six here
It cost us 1900 direct for the six of us in December

It’s costing us 2800 indirect for this October
Prices really go up and down

At the moment I am looking at Norwegian but can only look at two weeks at prices for return have not been released but the price is coming out at £3100 - hoping the extra week stays the same
