It’s amazing to have an entire menu to pick from! When I went veggie 13 years ago I was lucky to find one thing! 😦

If there’s someone kicking or hitting a dog in the street, most people would try to stop that. This is how a lot of vegans feel about others eating animal products.

And saying stuff like that is exactly why more people aren’t willing to understand veganism…
My son is an ethical vegan, I know all I need to know.

I tried the KFC burger the other day but found it very disappointing. It was sooo dry. Although it was spiced, it didn't taste like the same spices they put on the chicken.

It wasn't too much fun being a veggie in WDW over 30 years ago. The choices, pretty much everywhere, were a plain cheese and tomato pizza or the most basic of salads.

If you were a vegan (I'm not and could never be - I enjoy cheese too much) then I guess you always had the salad.

Anyway, it was good being a weirdo veggie all those years ago.

Now everyone is doing it, I might buck the trend and start eating meat again. 😂

Interesting that the OP says veganism is healthier

No, in itself it isn't.

Eating proper food is healthy and even a vegan can live on junk food - I know, because I have a friend who is a fat unhealthy vegan and admits she lives on junk
It's probably MORE difficult to be healthy on a vegan diet because you have to take care to get essential amino acids and fats that you get naturally in an omnivorous diet.

I agree, you can definitely be an unhealthy vegan, just the same as you can be an unhealthy non-vegan. I didn't say it was necessarily healthy, just healthier compared.

By switching to a vegan diet you'll no longer be eating foods that have been linked to causing cancer (red meat). Plant-based foods also tend to have lower amounts of saturated fats and calories while having higher amounts of fibre and have been linked to lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

A lot of plant-based foods are complete proteins and contain amino acids e.g. tofu, tempeh, grains, rice and beans. The only thing really that you have to consider is B12, but a lot of alternatives e.g. milks have these added, and if you're still concerned you can take supplements.

It’s possible to be unhealthy on any diet. You can become deficient in certain vitamins as a result of any diet.

I eat 90% plant based…I’m not fully there yet for various reasons. My diet is healthy and balanced…I have my days like most people when I want to eat junk food.

I’m also lactose intolerant. Cutting dairy out my diet has been one of the best things I’ve ever done health wise.

I carried my son for 9 months on a mostly vegan diet. I weaned him on a mostly vegan diet. He’s a healthy and happy baby.

“With good planning and an understanding of what makes up a healthy, balanced vegan diet, you can get all the nutrients your body needs.” - NHS
