Virgin Companion voucher

We used a companion voucher to double up on a UC reward redemption to MCO using only miles for a half-term trip.

I think companion vouchers can only be used on Virgin metal - so useless for Delta indirect flights.

The agent told us that it will be virtually impossible to redeem companion vouchers for UC for MCO in future because they are cutting the number of UC seats so there will be virtually no reward availability for UC.

After another marathon hold session, I spoke with a Virgin agent and they've changed the booking to use the voucher as a companion instead of an upgrade.

The upshot is I've got 45,000 points credited back to me - they'll come in useful in the future!
