We had to cancel our April/May timed wedding last year thanks to Covid and are keen to get rebooked. Usually we're tied to school holidays as my brother is a teacher but his school has to close for a few days in mid September - which would obviously save us £££ if we went then!

I'm just a bit worried about the weather - I'm not great with heat and do struggle a bit even in May around lunchtime. For those who have been before in September - if we arrange our days so we're out bright and early, back to the villa for lunch and then popping out again in the evenings is it manageable or realistically is it just going to be so humid we're all miserable?

It's a discovery cove wedding so takes place about 8am - from what I've read it looks as though mornings should be fairly dry with brief thunderstorms in the afternoon - does that sound about right?

Thank you!
Sounds like a perfect plan.
September is hot and humid, so avoiding the (usually) rainy period of the afternoon and then going back out again once the thunderstorm has finished will mean it will be less humid. September is a great time to go.

I went on the 9th September for three weeks and found it pretty hot and humid.
Taking the afternoon break will make a big difference.
I absolutely loved the warm evenings and would put up with the daytime temperatures just for that.
If the May trip doesn’t happen I will move it to September.

TBh take your pick! We've had it all- scorching hot with no humidity, hot high humidity, typhoons, tropical storms, hurricanes, cloudy, rain, no rain...
Now I know that April is supposed to have less humidity but TBH I'd rather be hot & humid in Florida than cold & wet in the UK !

We haven't been in September but always go for the last 3 weeks of August (so we can add on the bank holiday monday and get an extra day in Florida)

Whilst it is hot and humid during August (and will be in September) there are plenty of indoor attractions, A/C everywhere and quite a bit of shade. Drink plenty of water and take a break somewhere indoors for a couple of hours around mid day and you will be fine.
